The Summon class can be pretty fun to play in Terraria but what are some of the most iconic items for it. Today i take you through the top 5 summon items in Terraria and the more iconic items in the class.

5. Imp Staff
Imp Staff is actually the best summoner staff in pre hardmode. Now it is easy to make. All you need is 22 Hellstone Bars. You can get this fairly early in the game as long as you can acquire a river shark and dig all the way down to the underworld to do it.
You don’t get a lot of options in pre hard mode but at least with the Reaver shark this will give you the option of getting the aim staff pretty early and using it all the way into hard mode.
4. Optic Staff
You can craft this using 2 lenses, 1 black lens, 12 hallow bars as well as 20 souls of sight which dropped from the twins. This staff is unique because with each summons you get a set of mini twins that come along with it. They only count as one but both of them are very helpful the twins fly around.
So unlike the spider staff with the spiders who need walls will come after flying targets. The twins don’t seem to have that problem. Moreover they are also very fast. So the DPS is going to be really good.This staff can actually take you up through plain Tarot.
The pirate staff is a slightly better option here if you’re lucky enough to get it from either the Flying Dutchman on one of the pirates during the invasion. It could take some time before you get the pirate staff. Where the optics staff is more efficient and it’s killing and It is also easier to get.
3. Raven staff
This actually drops Pumpking during the Pumpkin Moon event. This is a pretty low chance of dropping but it is well worth it. The Raven staff is much like twins from the optic staff, which are very efficient in getting things done. They also tend to attack pretty quickly as well.
2. Deadly sphere staff
These are dropped by deadly spheres during the Solar Eclipse event. So again it is very possible to get this before the Ravens staff during the pump demon event making that a moot point. Deadly sphere staff is a nice upgrade over the Raven staff as the deadly spheres can do a little bit more damage overall.
While the daily spheres are not as fast as the twins and the Ravens. What is interesting though is the daily spheres do actually have a wider detection radius around the player. So they can actually attack mobs and are located off screen for any other mob would normally detect it. I i’s extremely helpful and takes you right into endgame pretty much.
1. Stardust Dragon Staff
You can craft this by using 18 Stardust fragments from the Stardust pillar. Unlike the rest of the staves with this summons you are basically making the dragon bigger. Which is kind of unique again with every other summons we have always had some that multiply.
But with this, the dragon gets bigger and as it gets bigger it’s way more destructive. The Stardust Dragon staff can be very powerful and it can actually defeat the moon Lord very easily. One thing you want to keep in mind though is that you want to buff up as many minions as you can get in order to make the dragon longer.
